Basic Info Halal

1. Penahapan kewajiban bersertifikat halal bagi produk Suplemen Kesehatan

Dalam Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia Nomor 39 Tahun 2021 tentang Penyelenggaraan Bidang Jaminan Produk Halal pasal 141 (a), penahapan kewajiban bersertifikat halal bagi jenis produk Obat Tradisional, Obat Kuasi, dan Suplemen Kesehatan dimulai dari tanggal 17 Oktober 2021 sampai dengan tanggal 17 Oktober 2026. Berdasarkan peraturan ini, maka pada tanggal 17 Oktober 2026 produk Suplemen Kesehatan yang beredar di Indonesia wajib bersertifikat halal dan mencantumkan logo halal Indonesia pada kemasan. Apa dasar hukum pencantuman label halal Indonesia?
  • UU No. 33 tahun 2014 pasal 31 - 41

  • Bentuk dan desain label halal Indonesia ditetapkan dalam Keputusan Kepala BPJPH Nomor 40 Tahun 2022 tentang Penetapan Label Halal dimana pada peraturan tersebut ditetapkan bahwa label halal Indonesia berlaku mulai 1 Maret 2022. 
  • Pedoman pencantuman Label Halal pada produk yang lebih detail diatur dalam Keputusan Kepala BPJPH No 88 Tahun 2022. 
Bagaimana bentuk dan warna label halal Indonesia? 
Mengacu ke Keputusan Kepala BPJPH No 88 Tahun 2022, berikut adalah beberapa pilihan format dan warna yang dapat dicantumkan pada produk, nomor sertifikat halal wajib dicantumkan pada kemasan tepat di bawah logo halal.
 
 
 
Kapan batas waktu penggunaan logo halal MUI?
Sesuai PP No. 39 Tahun 2021 Pasal 169 (d) bentuk logo halal yang ditetapkan oleh MUI sebelum
Peraturan Pemerintah ini diundangkan, tetap dapat digunakan dalam jangka waktu paling lama 5 (lima) tahun terhitung sejak peraturan pemerintah ini diundangkan (tanggal 5 Februari 2021), yaitu 5 Februari 2026.

Basic Halal Information

1. Stages of Mandatory Halal Certification for Health Supplement Products

In the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 39 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Halal Product Assurance, Article 141 (a), the stages of mandatory halal certification for Traditional Medicines, Quasi Drugs, and Health Supplement products begin from 17 October 2021 until 17 October 2026. Based on this regulation, starting on 17 October 2026, Health Supplement products circulating in Indonesia must be halal-certified and must display the Indonesian halal logo on the packaging. 2. Indonesian Halal Label
What is the Indonesian halal label?
A sign of the halal status of a Product that is designated as part of the implementation of Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning halal product assurance.
What is the legal basis for including the Indonesian halal label?
  • Law No. 33 of 2014 Articles 31–41
  • Government Regulation No. 39 of 2021 Articles 87–91
  • The form and design of the Indonesian halal label are stipulated in the Decree of the Head of BPJPH Number 40 of 2022 on the Determination of the Halal Label, in which it is stated that the Indonesian halal label has been in effect since 1 March 2022.
  • Guidelines for the placement of the Halal Label on products in more detail are regulated in the Decree of the Head of BPJPH No. 88 of 2022.
What are the form and color of the Indonesian halal label?
Referring to the Decree of the Head of BPJPH No. 88 of 2022, below are several format and color options that may be displayed on products; the halal certificate number must be printed on the packaging directly beneath the halal logo.
 
 
 
When is the deadline for using the MUI halal logo?

PAccording to Government Regulation No. 39 of 2021 Article 169 (d), the halal logo established by MUI before this Government Regulation was enacted may continue to be used for a maximum period of 5 (five) years from the enactment date of this regulation (5 February 2021), which is until 5 February 2026.
